Bios

Marie McCormick, MBA, Ph.D. is a co-founder of InSyte Partners and has led a successful Organization Development consulting practice for the last ten years. She has worked with clients in industries including telecommunications, health care, finance, pharmaceuticals, and non-profit organizations including educational institutions. At the heart of her practice is a belief that profound organizational change happens through engagement on both the systems and individual levels. Clients value Marie’s ability to create an environment conducive to critical conversations. Because participants bring both heart and mind to the dialogue, extraordinary results happen.

Marie’s experience prior to founding McCormick Consulting Group includes a unique blend of line and staff positions, consulting and coaching experience with an international leadership development firm and teaching at the Master’s level.  In addition to her Ph.D in organizational development, she holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance.

Marie spent over a dozen years with Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) as it navigated the challenges of operating in an increasingly competitive and deregulated business environment. She was a regulatory analyst developing and editing expert testimony, a product manager for operator services, a customer service operations manager specializing in turnarounds of underperforming units and a marketing manager responsible for the creation and development of Bell Atlantic’s inaugural large customersatisfaction review process.

Marie’s education and experience in the areas of education, psychology, finance, marketing and management provide her with a broad background and knowledge base to help her clients becomemore successfull.

Liz Alperin Solms, MPA, InSyte co-founder, has over ten years of consulting experience partnering with companies, nonprofits and communities on strategic change initiatives. She excels and specializes in situations where the “big issue” is complex, involves many interdependencies and where traditional solutions are either too slow or have not worked.

Liz’s multi-faceted education and work background enables her to successfully navigate diverse situations. Her previous work experience spans the private, public and nonprofit sectors, and includes technical and educational positions. She has worked as an industrial engineer in both the food and apparel industries. As a workforce learning consultant, she developed organizational learning strategies, focusing on front-line workers and supervisors in the chemical, health care, manufacturing, defense and job training industries.  She taught math and science to young people as a Peace Corps volunteer in the South Pacific and worked in Pennsylvania at the state and local levels on economic development initiatives. For a national social policy organization, Liz developed innovative curricula and coordinated a national demonstration project on community service and learning.

Liz’s clients value her authentic commitment to their success. She has a unique ability to bridge the theoretical and practical and to reframe assumptions and current ways of thinking. This challenges clients to move beyond traditional ways of operating to achieve exceptional outcomes. Her expertise in structuring and facilitating open dialogue on important topics has enabled many organizational breakthroughs.

Liz holds a BS degree in industrial engineering from Lehigh University and an MPA in economic and workforce development from Harvard University.
